The company that would eventually become Roomful Express, a Pittsburgh Furniture company, was founded in 1958, the year of Pittsburgh's bicentennial, by R.H. Kuhn, father of Roomful Express president, Michael Kuhn. Starting as a sewing machine import company, 
the business gradually evolved to distribute furniture from their warehouse on Pittsburgh's North Side.
Five decades later, Roomful Express operates 12 locations across Pennsylvania and Ohio and employs more than 350 people. Now, just as Pittsburgh shows it's pride as a city with a 250th anniversary celebration, Roomful Express will show it's gratitude to the city community through the "50 Years, 50 Families" program.
