Greg and Peggy Heuer sold their own home so that they could open and fund a half-way house for local woman in need. The half-way house, better known as the Heuer house, has taken many women off the streets, given them a safe place to stay, and has helped them to become productive members of society. The Heuer house also holds AA and NA meetings in its basement to help people regain sobriety. The Heuer’s have done so much for the community and have desired a new dining room set for many years, but have always put their money into others. Roomful Express and the 50 Years, 50 Families program will provide the Heuers with a new dining room set.

Candace Rhodes is a 29 year-old single mother of one son, Trentan. Along with keeping up with her 2 year-old son she is the sole care giver to her 83 year-old grandfather who has many health issues. Being a full-time care giver makes it impossible for Candace to be employed and expenses are very limited living off of social security. Always putting others before herself, Candace sleeps on the couch in the living room while her grandfather sleeps in a hospital bed and son sleeps in a bed that he is quickly outgrowing. Roomful Express and the 50 Years, 50 Families program is providing Candace and her family with new bedroom, living room and kitchen furniture.
